As long as you use the right gaskets and seal them properly, no problems.

This is all really interesting, maybe I will have to look into more this fall when I am at NDSCS for Auto Tech, we get to do what ever we want to engines for a whole quarter since they have all the equipment you really need it would be a lot of fun to see what I could do with something different that some farmers just have lying around.
