starter wire help

im in the process of putting my engine back in my truck and i noticed that one of my starter wires had burned up and broke off. if you looking at the soliniod from the front, there is the battery cable connection and two little wires on either sides. im missing the one that is on the left side furthest from the block. i still have the purple wire that goes on the right hand connection. where does the missing wire go to?
