Stock Ride Height (front)

I am searching for the "stock ride height" for a '70 Chevy C10 short wheelbase stepside pickup. It was mentioned in another thread on this forum that the LMC Truck Catalog had the spec.

I looked in the LMC Truck Catalog and it does have a section in "lowering Accessories" that shows "3 ways to lower your truck". Included are drawings that show "truck stances" including "factory truck stance".

The drawing shows a short wheel base C10 having a "factory ride height" of 32" in the front & 34" inches in the rear.

Of course my next question is this the "correct ride height spec" or just an approximate height in inches for the sake of illustration/explaination????

If anyone can confirm this spec or measure their STOCK truck to see if this measurement is accurate or.

Ride height is measured from the ground to the top of the arch of the "fenderwell opening"..... thanks ..... John

Re: Stock Ride Height (front)

Not really sure myself but you could check with board member "Longhorn Man" or possibly one of our site vendors such as GMCPauls or Athey's Classic Truck Parts. Also, correct tires and wheels need to be in place when checking that "Stock" ride height. Good Luck, Harry
