what backspace to use on the front..
im going with a 15x8 wheel in the front and I need to know what backspacing to use,
my 68 was converted from 6lug to 5lug in the front, so it has 5lug rotors/calipers in the front.. these are my options on the 15x8 wheels 5 x 5.5 5 x 5 5 x 4.75 5 x 4.5 thanks for the help...  by the way i have stock rally's in the front and would like to go with that same backspacing, does anyone know what backspacing is on the stock wheels?

Couldn't you just measure the backspacing on your stock wheels? Offset

Yep, just pull a wheel off the truck, deflate the tire, lay it on the ground hub side down, stand on the wheel to make sure it contacts the ground evenly, measure from the mounting surface to the ground. There's your backspace.
And it'll be 5x5" if it's a factory rotor or axle. From the back of one stud to the center of one across from it. All others are measured center to center except five lugs. I know, WTF? But they are measured differently, I've won a few bets that way. Jay
