Clutch Linkage Problem

Posted this in Drivetrain but I thought I might get a little more feedback here

I have a Munice SM 465 that I am putting in my 67, today I noticed the clutch fork comes off the little pivot point, Is the fork suppose to stay on there tight or is it suppose to come off easy like it is.

If this is a problem,How do you fix it?

the z fork mounts to the engine via a bracket that has a ball welded to it and the z bar has two spherical plastic washers around it.

the frame mount is basically the same, but make sure it stays tight against the frame bracket, or it will get very, very loose.

this bracket takes a lot of repetitious movement and does get worn.

you may take a pic for us to help you figure it out.

Are you describing the frame mount or the engine mount?

i think he's talking about the ballstud inside the bellhousing, that the throw-out fork rides on. your throwout fork is supposed to have a "spring clip" inside it that holds the fork to the ball. i got mine at www.classicparts.com

that sheds a bit more light on it. I thought he was talking about the z bar....

The fork that goes in the bell is not especially tight it just kind of pops on and off.Theres two spring metal fingers that clip it on to the pivit ball
