Electric Fans.... From Dodge Intrepid?? Aftermarket
Wasnt there someone on here that said the Dodge Intrepid Elec fans will work on our trucks with the factory bolt holes and all?
Or what was it...I do remember someone saying the 5.9 Dakotas and CHerokees would fit but they are hard to find wrecked. DOH! Any info is appreciated

I answered your question over at the "other place." I also called you a "goober," because I am a "smart@$$."

Dave, I have a fan off a Jeep Cherokee 5.9L r/t. I have never seen one in person. My dad works at a local Dodge dealer and says they are very rare. He has had only a few come in last year. The first one to come in had a problem with the fan, low speed didnt work, but high speed did. Because the computer controls the fan speeds it caused the vehicle to overheat. I got the fan for free and the customer got a new one under warranty. I also have another fan identical to this one, that my dad also got me. He had another one come in, which had a problem with the radiator. He got me a perfect fan under warranty for free
Heres a few pictures of the fan. Ill try to take a few tonight, that show it installed. Its a great fan and moves massive air. http://www.73-87.com/~phoenix/Electricfan-01.jpg http://www.73-87.com/~phoenix/Electricfan-02.jpg http://www.73-87.com/~phoenix/Electricfan-03.jpg The little flaps are supposed to open at high speeds to allow more air flow. I havent personally been able to test that. I mount the fan directly to the radiator itself on the upper and lower channels (of the radiator). All I had to do was drill 4 holes (2 top & 2 bottom). I need to mount it better, it vibrates sometimes, because its not mounted to well. Also some of the Dodge Vipers have a very similar fan, it might be the same Im not sure. It looks identical in pictures, but I dont know if its larger or smaller. EDIT: Heres the most I could find about the Jeep itself. I may be mistaken about it actually having the name badge "R/T". http://www.neebu.net/~khuon/98ZJ.html EDIT, again: I did some more searching and still couldnt find exactly what my dad explained. Apparently there is a 5.9L and a 5.9L R/T.
