got a single bar roll bar that came with the truck and im trying to decide if i want to put it in or leave is as it. i think both look good.

I'd put it in. Even though it's a single hoop and probably more for show than serious protection, it makes the truck look a bit more unique. Without it, it looks like a fairly ordinary truck, but with lower cladding and a cockeyed rear bumper.

Yeah put it in, its really for looks only but it would still look good imo

Roll bar.It`s not some big overpowering one and it serves some purpose.Before the ofroad trends hit the street scene old guys ran minimal bars like that in the backcountry.Anything`s better than nothing,in that use.

I vote no. Its too fat and it dosent have the 45 deg tubes. It probley shakes when your going down a bumpy road.

You could put chicken wire accross it and use it as a headache rack

Just kiddin, I think it looks OK. Mount some KC's up there, and like Stocker says replace that rear bumper...It appears as tho the cat laying in the rod doesn't care for it.

haha. yeah. i need to replace that bent up bumper. i still wonder what they hit with it. must have been a big bolder or tree.

and yeah i wanted a double-single roll bar but i cant really find one. where should i look and how much are they?

No! Looks like it's not made for that truck...too narrow & doesn't follow the contour of the cab.

Like "fun in dirt" mentioned, it doesn't follow the contours of the cab very well, but that is not too big of a deal. I think I would like it more with the addition of 45 degree down tubes.

It doesn't have a function on the truck, doesn't lend any confidence...

I think I would have say "no" as well. I would not call it a roll bar. In my experience of rolling over and destroying a number of rigs I would say it would offer very little to no protection. If the bar had cross bracing and tied directly to the frame it may help a little, but without the down bars to the rear it would fold in a hard hit. One of the posters above mention it shaking going down a rough road. I think it would do so as well.
