as like two peas in a pod...

My two 73-87's together. Sunday was nice outdoors and I was bored. Do you guys think the light bar and KC's would look better on the 79?

Nice trucks, I prefer no light bar on either though. I like the bumper on the 79

Thanks! Light bar is not wired in yet. I just bolted it on to drive around for a few days to see what it looked like and if I like it. Maybe somone can photoshop the light bar. That bumper has been on the 79 for about a year now, and still looks brand new!

Re: as like two peas in a pod...

Well the red truck has more of the "monster truck/ offroader" look to it so the bar might fit it better. Actually for the red truck you might try a few KC's mounted on an in bed roll bar. I also like that front bumper. Any plans for the white trucks exterior? maybe more aggressive wheels and tires?

Those wheels and tires that you see on that red truck are not on it anymore. They're going on the white truck, and the running boards are coming off. The red 79 has 38 inch TSL Swampers on it now. I scored the swampers on craigslist last weekend. No pics yet, but will update soon. I need different lug nuts for the white truck to put those wheels on it. I think they're metric. The lug nuts off the red truck wouldn't run down on the lugs very far, and I was afraid to screw the threads up!

Re: as like two peas in a pod...

The 38's I bought are 15.5 inches wide on 16.5 diameter 12 inch rims. In fact, I'm saving up for some Bushwacker cut-out flares b/c I don't have enough lift to run them.
