My one and only ever new truck

In 1983 I bought a C10 LWB,2WD,305,4BBL,auto I don't remember which one.It had a rubber mat floor,am radio,P/S,P/B,no rear bumper,no A/C.I lived in N.E. Ohio at the time. What a great truck it was.I had added all the good stuff myself.I don't have a pic with the summer wheels and tires on it.They were american racing wheels and 245/70/15.I never used the truck during the salt months.Always garaged.Kept it 6 years.Sold it with only 18k miles on it.They guy I sold it to ran it till it hit the junk yard.I payed either $6300.00 or $6900.00 for it.I'm including a pic of the truck I was driving before buying the new one.A 1970 C10 250 cid,3 on the tree.Another great truck.

Let me tell you, that was the heavyest cap I ever owned. It took 4 guys to move it around. It would drop the truck a bit when installed. It was a wood framed, insulated, panel cap.I don't recall who made it.

No the rings where something I added, they were stainless steel.I have always liked the look of a steel wheel with a trim ring either with a center cap or just chrome lug nuts.I ran steel wheels with rings, baby moons for years. When money was tight there always wasn't money left for chrome wheels.
