control arm questions

hi all, i'm on a crappy 18.8kb connection so search is a ridiculously time intensive option. i have a 68 2wd c20 and i am wanting to drop it with drop spindles/springs. if it looks like my control arms are too scaley (intend to powerdercoat them) to reuse is it possible to bolt on new half ton control arms to the frame? or would i be better off trying to reuse them with ece's conversion spindles?
thanks,
Dave
