Re: Another Iron on the Fire.
I will look. It very well might be melted as half of right side of truck is. Maybe a gauge survived. I was linda centered on the cab and missed a few points as a 'Hunter" I will call him back before he hacks it for me.

Re: Another Iron on the Fire.
Not trying to rain on your parade, but the cab on the C-40's - C-60's are way different than a pickup. They look similiar, but they will not swap out without a lot of modification. I always though they were the same, but after looking really comparing them both on my '67 C-30 and my '67 C-50 wrecker the entire firewall, the rockers, and where the fenders mount are totally different. The firewall has a much bigger recess for engine clearance. You would have to make mounts for the fenders and the rockers are not the same.

Hey no parade here. No insult taken. I thought I would compare also. Thanks for the comparison. It does lead me to believe that I must repair mine. That fire thing really changes metal. Fire needs oxygen to burn and metal needs it to rust. Mix the two and you just ruined a cool truck. The reason that this truck in pics is dead is from a welder. Be careful.

Re: Another Iron on the Fire.
I do appreciate the heads up. I will continue my search for the short bed and short frame from 67 on down. My cab will have to make due as it matches the frame and glove box. Running fine @ $.80 a mile. David
