How to tell what gear ratio I have?

Someone removed the tag from my rear end, any ideas on how I can tell what ration I have? The truck is an 85 GMC Sierra 1500.

Manual or automatic? 2 or 4 wheel drive? guessing is hard enough w/o at least that much info.

Haha, sorry about that, I'm a little hungover this morning...

It's an automatic, 4x4.

EDIT: Also, it is a 10 bolt rear end.

Did you check the sticker in the glove box? Often times it is printed right there in plain sight.

If your sticker is missing, the only sure way is to pull the diff cover and have a look inside. Not a hard job to do, and it could probably stand to have the lube chaged anyway.

It could be anywhere from 2.73 to 3.42.....most likely 2.73, pure guess.
