Installing a C-notch question?

Besides using a plasma cutter what is the best tool to use to cut the frame when installing a c-notch? I plan on lowering the rearend 5" or 6" so I figured that I would notch the frame.

Re: Installing a C-notch question?

A torch works pretty well but you have to clean up the cuts w/ a grinder. Or you can use a cut-off wheel and a grinder although that limits you to straight cuts.

Re: Installing a C-notch question?

I used an angle grinder with a cut-off wheel, but I used a LARGE drill bit to do the corners prior to cutting the frame, then cut between the holes. The rounded corners are less likely to crack
