Dropped in a new 350. Nothing fancy just a new long block. fired right up on the first try and went straight to idol.... short time for the cam break in and all is well

Re: Did a little work on my truck

Its already done and back at home. Not one scratch.... Now the truck bed is a different story. Scratchs like you wouldnt beleive. But hey thats what its for. No trailer queen here. I use it for what is for. Hauling engines, trannies, anything. Matter of fact i just got finished putting on some adjustable air shocks.... blew out a drop shock when I picked up the new motor. My fault actually. Hit a big bump and bottomed her out pretty hard. She's all done and back on the road.

I really like that green. Don't see many of these trucks in that green. I like the gmc badge on the grille as well.

Good job and fired on the first crank.
How's the new power.

BTW, no idolizing the 350s.

Re: Did a little work on my truck

chevymotocross : those are the orginal colors. Finished having it painted about 4 weeks ago.

boxrodz: nobody was more surprised than me. pays to do all the little things prior to dropping it in. I had alot of help from some good friends that live and breath nothing but chevy motors.... always good to have around.

gchemist: the lift was a big help. good friends are worth thier weight in gold.
