front springs

Would 52" springs ride better up front than my old worn out 44" springs? I think I can answer this myself but just wanted some thoughts from you all. Thanks, 62.

Re: front springs

Yes, I've done it on a few trucks now.

Far better.

I hope you're ready for a bit of lift?

How much lift do you think it would add? My 61 is stock heigth, but it sits higher than my 84 4x4 and it is stock.

Depends on the brackets you use. Most people (including CK5'ers) report 4" of lift.

Always a good reason.

A shackle flip in the rear levels it out nicely.

Although I had a though. I've never installed 52" spring on your year truck. You results may differ.

Re: front springs

Yea, I'm not to sure about the 52" springs yet. Mine are 44" and they are stiff as hell!! Plus one is sagging a little. One side of the truck is lower than the other, and one spring looks flatter than the other side. Maybe 48" springs would be better. Does the 67-68 front springs have brass bushings like the 60-66 trucks? And are they 2 1/2" wide?
