What is Standard Gearing for '72 1/2-ton Chevy 4x4

On a '72 1/2-ton Chevy 4x4 pickup with an automatic and V8 and no mention of gear ratio on the glove box sticker (standard gearing) would it have 3.73s or 3.08s?

Mine came with 3.73's. Mine also still has the tag in the front diff cover. You may check there also.

I believe 3.73s were standard.

I spaced out on this, but it is a long-box pickup if that matters. It is a fair distance away, so I think I'll only go look at it if I'm fairly confident it has 3.07/3.08.

Re: What is Standard Gearing for '72 1/2-ton Chevy 4x4

Yeah,I spaced out,too.It doesn`t matter what body it is,just if it`s a 1/2t or 3/4t.I was talking standard standard.As in no options.I see you have a V8/auto.It`s prolly a 350,right?If so,it`s got 3.08s,as Joe said.
