Axle shaft
Are the axle shafts from a 70 and a 77 the same spline and lenght. They are both 12 bolts, I'm just trying to get a 5 lug rear. Also can I take the front spindels from a later truck and use them. I have a 77 parts truck and the drums just arent cutting it.
THANKS!

Re: Axle shaft
you have a 75% chance of it being a direct swap.
Pull one out of each and see if they are the same length. 70 was a chainge over year. Some were short (early) some were wide (obviously, later ones). |

Re: Axle shaft
You can remove the whole front crossmember and swap it in with minimal fuss.
