Sat pics (5-17) See Ten Resurection!
Well, Two weeks ago I had a bit of an uh oh while at the Nats in Maggie Valley. We don't like to drag our feet around here so we got right on the repair.
In an effort to reduce the cost of the bill at the body shop I pulled all the trim off the fender as well as the inner fender. Then I figured if I was going to pull that inner I might as well pull the other and sling some paint to em. Well then we decided that the inside of the outers needed some touch up as well so they got some new color as well. Of course this snowballed in to the core support and the bottom side of the hood getting blacked as well. Laying the color to it. The hood hinges were also blasted and sprayed. Man! He's fast!!! |

Looks great! It's amazing what a difference a little extra work makes. I always try to paint anything I take apart or replace before it gets put back together.

Re: Sat pics (5-17) See Ten Resurection!
Looks like a truck again!
Break time!! I've still got mixed emotions about the use of so much gloss paint under the hood...........But I guess it's not that bad. Check out that reflection in the hood in this super crapola pic! Ready for cruisin again and only missed one weekend of being on the road! I couldn't stand to let it just sit after all of that work so I headed over to the Tit stop for some gas and headed towards Canton. |

Looks good. And thanks for the front view shot of the radiator support. It shows exactly what I was looking for a couple weeks ago...the condensor lines. The truck looks good! Keep those weekend pics coming.

Big props go out to Brian (71see10) and Billy as well as Tim Christian for bustin rump and helpin me get er back on the road so quick. I'd give a big shout out to the body shop (that was awesome) but for what I got charged, they can take care of themselves! They were worth all they charged.......but it hurt!

Wow, great job! I love your truck! I didn't realize that professional body shops used newspaper for masking. I always thought they used heavy paper?

Deland, Christy did fuss at me a bit for spending all week working to get it lookin better under the hood and then still not opening it while we were at the Canton cruise. I just can't do it....They just flow better with the hood down. I did open it and show 72freak what we had done as well as another one of my buds that happened to be there (and then immediately closed it again ) Thanks for the props guys! |

Re: Sat pics (5-17) See Ten Resurection!
Both rotors have looked like that for as long as I've had the truck. It looks like they came that way. Weather they did or not is another story but she stops fine and doesn't shimmy or dart.....So I'm not messing with it!

Re: Sat pics (5-17) See Ten Resurection!
My rotors have the same groove. When I took them off the donor truck and saw that groove, I said "Crap I'm gonna have to buy new rotors". But then I took the other one off and it looked the same.
Looking Good, Asa. I'll get a closer look at it this weekend in Rogersville.

Re: Sat pics (5-17) See Ten Resurection!
Nothing wrong with that rotor - just the way some of them are. The ones on a 78 3/4 ton front axle I'm using in my 70 K5 also have that groove.
