2 link??
ok im new here but ive owned a few bagged rides so i know all the no, whoa, and ohs of 2links,but every truck ive had has had a basic 2 link with panhard and rode great to me, daily driven,
my current project is 82-c10, as far as what i want out of this truck is, i wanna ba able to drive it anywhere, go to the drag race track make a few passes, maybe even take it to one of those air ride challenge courses and have some fun, im undecided on drivetrain, considering bigblock, but small block is prolly what i will have in it. basically i guess wat im sayin is i want it to hook up and take corners too........ now my idea for the rear is a 2link, and i dont have any pics its just in my head but if u could picture this> long bars something similiar to the 67-72 2-link setup(maybe a inch or so longer then that) and the bars are gonna be parallel to the frame rails with the bag between the bars and frame rail. im gonna be running a watts link and im thinking of using these bushings http://*****************/SuperPivotBarEnd.php, im thinking my pinion angle will be set at my ride height my question is for any of u suspension guru out there, do u think my truck would take corners with the super pivot bushings on a 2-link and watts link? would this super pivot 2-link be worth trying?would this be a waste of time? should i just do another setup? Re: 2link??
Why not use the GM truck 2-link set-up? The truck arms are proven so you know they'll get the job done. Add the truck arm crossemember, some spec made frame brackets for the bags & a Watt's. You should be able to achieve your goal of decent, low ride w/cornering ability.

Re: 2link??
NASCAR use the truck 2 link beams and a trac bar and they seem to handle just fine.

Re: 2link??
My argument was not necessarily in favor of a trac bar, just that a 2 link system can work very well. Sorry for the confusion, we are in agreement.

Re: 2link??
It's one of those things..... Once you mention "because NASCAR use's it, it must be good", you might get pounced by someone who dislikes truck arms on race cars.

Re: 2link??
I don't know about tide but the the car with Erectile help logo has me concerned doesn't it get in the way of the steering if the driver's using it.
Anyway put me down as another truck arm fan.
