Made these up this am..
Well I hated watching people slip in and out of my blazer so I finally came up with a cheap solution. I had some old diamond plate bed rail covers that had been sitting out back for ever. So I took some measurements and whipped out the cut off wheel and made these. Hope fully the extra traction will keep my boy from slippin and smashing his shins and knees agian. I did use what was left of my mothers power ball to polish them up.. Heres a few pic's..

Those look pretty bullet proof, don't think you need to worry about anyone slipping now

I have used asphalt roofing shingles or asphalt roll roofing cut to size...Excelent traction--- even when wet..

Re: Made these up this am..
Does that interfere with the door clearance at the bottom or does it fit and allow the door to close? It looks great though all polished and a neat idea. I am assuming that you welded them in place?

Re: Made these up this am..
They actually have little sheet metal screws holdong them on. There is no issuue with the doors closeing after I changed the screws out the 1st set had bigger heads that scraped the bottom of the door..
