Is Your 400 Ex Worth 4500?
Around Here They Are Under 3000 All Day Unless Its Really Hopped
Up But I Dont Know If That Blazer Is Worth 4500 Either
Tuff Call Wich One Would You Get More Use And Or Pleasure Out Of??
Thats The One You Want
1) Quad Probably Problem Free Dont Need Any Money Or Attention
2) K5 Most Likely Has Problems And Definetly Needs Some Money Spent Somewhere But A Whole Lot Cooler Than The 9000 Other 400's Out There
HARD CALL ...I DONT KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO
I GUESS AT SECOND GLANCE AT THE PICS THAT UNIT ISNT ROTTEN KINDA LOOKS SOLID
IT COULD BE WORTH 4500
I WOULD PROBABLY TRADE

Re: orig. 72 cst blazer

Id trade him if you really want a blazer it looks to be rust free. If you ever want another quad you can go out and buy one..

I think you will end up kicking yourself it looks pretty solid in the pics, you miss the one you got rid of and don't use the item you are going to use to trade

Re: orig. 72 cst blazer

Quad = depreciation
Blazer = appreciation

They aren't making any more classic Blazers. You can always buy another quad. I'd trade in a heart beat if you don't use the quad. It looks like a solid body and decent interior. I'd say its worth the asking price.

Easy choice...trade it!

First fix on the blazer would be those rear shocks though.

Re: orig. 72 cst blazer

I'm not familar with quads, but with the $2,000 in upgrades, what does that make it worth - what could you really expect to sell it for today?

That K5 looks to be in very good shape. If it is really as rust free as it looks I'd have to say $4,500 isn't out of line. We all know how much work rust repairs are or how costly they are so you may be way ahead with this K5 if it is as good as it looks.

So, if your quad is worth more than $4,500 maybe try to sell it outright and offer this guy $4,000 cash and see what he does. Tough call.

If you want a K5, better act now! Very rarely see them for sale around here.

Re: orig. 72 cst blazer

BTW, does he have the stock gas tank or will you have to find a replacement? If you buy it and need a replacement, we have a good thread in this subforum on the repo tank and what it takes to make it work - because it doesn't work right out of the box. Imagine that!

I'd trade in a heartbeat. Looks like it is a good vehicle, especially if it runs. Besides, you can take more people out with you in the Blazer.

By the way, what is the gas can hanging under the Blazer for? Auxiliary?

Of course everyone on here is going to say trade it, go to a quad forum and they'd say don't trade....

Agree with jaros, but my biased opinion is to trade. Looks like a pretty low rust K5 and they aren't getting any easier to find.
