Strong antifreeze smell
After I drive for ten minutes or so, I get a smell of antifreeze inside the cab. If I turn the truck off for a few minutes, when I start it back up, the smell is the strongest. I can't see anywhere that it is leaking; there's never a puddle; no smoke from the exhaust; nothing dripping inside from the heater core. It doesn't seem to matter whether the heater is on or off.
Any thoughts?

Re: Strong antifreeze smell
You might want to check the heater core.It really could be the only problem, for thats the only source inside the cab. good luck

Re: Strong antifreeze smell
Can I just bypass the heater core by connecting the two hoses together or removing them all together and plugging the holes?

Re: Strong antifreeze smell
Sure. And if the smell goes away, you know it's the heater core OR just one of the hoses inside the cab, maybe even a loose clamp.
