Need some help with 1 ton brakes.

A friends 72 one ton needs some front brakes. I'm having a hard time figuring out what the correct parts are for it. It has a dual rear wheels and 1 pice front rotors. She needs new calipers, rotors, and pads. There is some confusion about which brakes will and won't work. I was even told that hers were '71 specific brakes, even though it is a '72 one ton. i don't believe there was such a thing as 71 specific front brakes. Am i wrong? what were the brake options/ codes for one tons? Does anyone have any good part numbers or insight? Thanks ahead of time!

I am not a lot of help here, but can you match the parts (take her's in and match to the parts place) it'll only work if they have the parts on hand. I haven't heard of 71 specific rotors, but I am not a one ton man.

Re: Need some help with 1 ton brakes.

Thanks Mike,
The problem is no one has these parts in stock, so we have to wait for a day to ship. We already had one set sent that didn't work, waiting for another set tomorrow. this is exactly why I didn't want to deal with those front brakes

That is strange. I looked in an old Napa catalog & it shows very little for the 72 & nothing for the 71. They must be all by themselves.

Re: Need some help with 1 ton brakes.

Okay guys, I need to bring this to the top again. now we are in desperate times and I need some ideas. The rotors received today don't match either. They are supposedly for a '72 also. What I'm being told is that '71 is the only year for this particular brake rotor and no one sells them. Any ideas guys? Does anyone have a'71 one ton frame that has good rotors up front? THis is getting ridiculous!! I need some expert knowledge here guys....cough it up!! Thanks in advance!!
