Re: Finally getting paint!

You can REALLY make an econo paint job look great if you cut and buff it yourself.. Just wait about a month..

Re: Finally getting paint!

I was told by the paint shop that if you buff it yoursaelf it would cut the price in half. Buffing actually takes longer than painting so it will make it much cheaper.

How much did a paint job like that cost or did you spray her yourself?

Re: Finally getting paint!

I got it at Econo Paint in Largo FL...i think it is a franchise place...couldn't really tell. One of my friends said that a good painter worked there...if i didn't need any body work they would do a good job. I also tried to make it as easy as possible for them to paint it...i removed everything except the rear bumper.

Yeah, I'm planning on cutting and buffing it in about a month...there are a couple runs behind the rear bumper...they had a hard time getting behind it.

It truly is amazing what a coat of paint does to a truck. I got it all put back together last night, and repainted the grille, hit my bow tie with some red paint while i was at it.

It still needs a wash, there is some road construction near my work and it rained the other day so there are rain spots all over it right now. Which brings up a good question...how long should i wait to wash it?
