help please.....
finally got the 79 on the road today.
 one thing i noticed was the pass. side front corner seemed lower than the drivers side. could a bad shock cause this? can't see anything bent or out of whack in the front end.

Probably deteriorated arm bushings and/or tired springs...look closely at upper and lower bushings for rot.

the easiest answer is the most obvious did you check the air pressure on the tires? a low tire could cause a difference in height

A bad shock would not affect the ride height, only quality. Could you have smacked a curb reall good or something similar?
I'm dealing with the same thing right now, except driver's side. I've swithched the coils and it didn't help. I've heard some say the if the rear leafs have worn unevenly than it will affect the opposite corner. Try switching the coil springs. If it's the coils, you can get new stock ones from Rockauto.com for around $60.

The only other thing I can think of is check out where the A arm and control arm mount to see if they’ve moved or cracked, I’ve had to weld a couple of mount brackets on different trucks.
