Center console parts?

Got a 79 with the factory buckets/console and I'm in need of a couple of the rubber bumpers that the lid rests against when closed and the wire "lid stop" that limits the lid from opening too far. I've looked in LMC and Chevy duty and can't find anything. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Center console parts?

The lid stop you should be able to find at a wrecking yard. A lot of these consoles are trashed, but that is usually the one part that survives OK. The bumpers aren't reproduced...but you can use others and modify to work. I used glove box bumpers on my console...and trimmed the cone portion down to fit. On the console I restored and sold, the hole for the bumper was larger so I couldn't use that method, instead, I purchased license plate bumpers off an older impala, and trimmed them down to fit. Hope this helps some.
