door adjustment -

Does anyone know if it's possible to adjust the door hinges that attach to the body while the door is on? It's a PITA to take it off- I would think there would be a special wrench or something...

I made couple wrenches with a torch and some old 9/16" comb. wrenches. Looks similar to the pic in the above link, just a shorter version.

Hmmm. Linky's expired. I think I'll just pull the door for now and guess where they should be - looks like a handy tool, though.

Re: door adjustment -

I have a suggestion for you before you pull the doors, hopefully you have'nt before you read this. Get a drill and a 1/8" drill bit, open one of the doors, drill a hole through the UPPER hinge and into the door frame, then do the same to the lower hinge. Of course you need to make sure that the doors are lined up before you do this. Then after all body work and paint are done all you have to do to put the doors back on is stick that same drill bit back into the holes you drilled, bolt it up and the doors should be lined up. Any questions?
