OK Bob I' ve got something to mention about the V6! GMC actually still offered the V6 up to 72 for pickup trucks but from 70-72 it was a dealer installed option. GMC truck dealers were set up to do these conversions, if you wanted a V6 they would yank out what ever Chevy engine was in the truck and install a V6.

Yes it was a dealer installed option, though it wasn't a factory built option it was factory approved.

Dude leave it alone! The GMCs are more uncommon. That sets it apart! I think it looks super sweet that grill looks great!!! Just my opinion!
