Radiator Mount Bushings

YIKES, I couldn't believe when I saw how much a pair of radiator support bushings would cost for my 87 truck... $90 at lmc. Anywhere else you guys can recommend for possibly cheaper mounts? The radiator support is a bit rotted around one of the mounts, but I'm going to try getting by with a new bushing kit and reinforcing the rotted area. I really don't wan't to pull the entire radiator support for one bad section.

Re: Radiator Mount Bushings

I reused the same bushings and washers. I replaced the bolts with stronger grade 8 bolts. I clean up the area and painted. Drill a few small holes so water drains out of the bolt area.

Re: Radiator Mount Bushings

Well the bushings are what's shot. I guess I will just have to bite the bullet since it seems most aftermarket vendors have these radiator support mounts listed in the $80-90 range. One side is so bad, that the support is actually lifting and causing my fan to hit the shroud when driving. I have bungee cords keeping that from happening..... for now, but I don't think anyone wants to drive around with bungee cords keeping the fan from causing destruction for too long.
