Sprayed Rust Bullet!

I wasn’t happy how the fire wall was looking with the Gibbs oil. It did turn the rust dark, but I was hoping for an old patina look. It wasn’t looking good, and after some consideration I decided to go the rest of the way and paint it.

I used the silver label Rust Bullet with a 1.8 mm tip.
Here are the pictures, not too bad I think I can live with it!

It wasn't quite as bad as just emptying the ash tray! But started when I was removing the timing chain, the woodruff key fell in the pan and the rest is history.

I wanted to paint the frame, but I'm pretty picky about having paint on stuff thats not supposed to be painted IE break lines, springs, bolts, etc. That Rust Bullet is like concrete when dry and would be there for ever! I may get some JD blitz black and brush it on....

Re: Sprayed Rust Bullet!

whoa! ... you had me going S/T!

I just came in from the garage, still wiping paint from my hands and searching the forum, when all of a sudden - BAM! - I thought I was still standing in front of my truck!! FLASHBACK! (photos below will explain)

Actually it is perfect timing, as I am going to attempt painting my firewall this weekend. So what paint are you using? I bought some Acrylic Urethane and the color match is perfect for my firewall, however, the passenger side is a slight bit lighter (PO paint job). Probably the lighting, but your firewall looks identical to my passenger side. -Nice job by the way.

Medium Olive - 504?
What type of gun did you shoot it with?
Primer type?

and I was just going to remove my bumper for a few days to have a friend powder coat it... that was about 7 weeks ago!!
