radiator supports.....diff???

Does anybody know the difference in between67-68 and 69-72 chevy radiator supports, in parts catalogs they say they are different, and i need one for a 70 and have a pretty good one, a little bent but a pretty good one out of a 67 can anyone tell me if this will work??

If you look at your original 1970 support you will see 2 buckets spot welded to the face of it, these are not present on a 1967-68 Chevy support, if you remove these from your 70 support and attach them to the 67-68 it will work in the 1970 truck, there will be unused holes on the bottom front of the 67-68 core support though as the 67-68 used a gravel deflector there not present on 69-72 supports.

No Frigin way. I was going to use a 72 rad support on my 67 took off the headlight buckets from my perfect 72 rad support and the holes for the headlights are about 1" off from where they should be . I bought a 67 rad support look closely you will see the diffirence . Still fustrated about wrecking my 72 rad cradel. Later Mario
