Help!! Semi gloss black or gloss.....

Does anyone know if the Air cleaner assembly of a 72 Sierra Grande would have been a gloss black or a semi gloss. Also I A replacing the tow mirrors with the small mirror assembly. Could you tell me exactly where to place them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mark

Rust Oleum Satin black does a pretty slick job and looks real nice.

You need an assy manual for the correct spots for your mirrors. Someone should give up the info.

Re: Help!! Semi gloss black or gloss.....

Eastwood sells a paint called under hood black. It`s just a satin, but made to be just the right gloss that the factory used. It`s the same as on inner fenders, core support, and brackets.

Re: Help!! Semi gloss black or gloss.....

Rustoleum semi-gloss here - we use it on anything and everything that is black.

Rustoleum #7777 is virtually identical to what the factory used.

Re: Help!! Semi gloss black or gloss.....

Ace hardware has a paint in their premium line that is semi-flat black but it has a little shine to it. I use it on the air cleaners & pulleys & fan & use Krylon semi- flat on inner fenders
