H4 hid kits for 67-72

Sick of googling and finding every honissaneon part out there...


I have the LMC retrofit h4 lamps.....wanting to upgrade to HID and 5k or so (white, not ricer purple)

anyone done - know good kits?

Not that this helps, but i got a kit off of evilbay and he gave the choice of 4500K-12K bulbs. Seems like a good kit and was 212 shipped for 2 kits (106 each) as i got a second kit for my wife's van. These are true bixenon telescopic kits where the bulb moves between low and high beams so you have both on our trucks. If you go with just a std H4 bulb, you will only have low beams, but they will be bright! There are several on there similarly priced. I have not installed it yet as the truck is torn down right now. But a free bump for you nonetheless.

here's a HID set up that's looks pretty darn good, and its legal.

Running HID capsules in halogen headlamps, will not only give a crappy beam pattern, blind other drivers on the road, and its illegal in most states. Also, most kits found on ebay are junk!. They wont last over a year. It's best to use name brand components, ie: phillips, hella, valeo, matsu****a, etc..

At 688/pr i'd have to pass. I will have about 150 total in my new lights and true BiXenon bulbs. THe ballasts are waterproof, and they sell new bulbs and ballasts fairly cheap if needed. Also, if you look the side profile of the ones you posted they're really deep so they wouldn't fit our truck w/out serious mods to the rad support. I personally will do limited driving at night and will aim the lights lower for traffic and use e-code lenses for the best possible results w/out projectors. I have seen projectors for our trucks, but they look funny imho.

There are no such things as bi xenon bulbs, or hid bulbs for that matter. Bi xenon refers to the HID projector itself. The projector can switch from lo beam to high beam, the hid capsule doesn't change in wattage, or position.

Also the link I posted shows a reflector bowl HID head light. Not a projector. (although they're available). I do have to agree, they do look funny. However, no reflector HID, or put together HID kit will match it's performace in light output.

Good quality e code headlights run about 80 bucks a piece from hella. Then you factor in the cost for an hid kit, heavy duty wiring harness, plus the option of (bi-xenon). It adds up for no name crap .

I rather spend my money on a repuitable company, that has designed a headlight that is legal, and takes full advantage of the HID.
