Truck Builder Mag!!

First off let me say I always enjoy this mag and look forward to it even tho it is only every two months. Let me also say I get over 12 different mags each month and only skim thru them and read what looks good or pertains to what I might be building at the time. So today when I got my new TB mag the first thing I saw in big letters was DAILY DRIVER GUIDE! So I thought I would skim this like always and what I found was that I ended up reading almost every artical in this issue. It by far was one of the best reads I have had in along time and I recomend you all find it and do the same.

They go into a very good 20 item list of Do's and Dont's that are based for the daiuly driver but are great info for any build. They also added a good list of 25 perfect parts and tips that if most guys follow will end up enjoying your truck that much more. I know this post is a bit off of what I normaly give you guys but this one really made me thing of how many people I run into that have issues with their trucks (or any build) that end up frustrating them somtimes so far they end up selling the truck or just loose interest in it. So I just wanted to pass this mag review on to you all since the reason for this board is to help us all build, enjoy and talk about our trucks.

I will not list were to buy or anything like that because I am not sure if that would be ok or not. But if it is and someone wants to add it then fine by me. Also if you don't know one of our own members (Josh Kaylor)works for this mag and has a ton of articals in this issue and may be able to add any info on were to pick it up.

So I hope it was ok to post this here since it has tons of great shot of 67-72's in it as well.

Re: Truck Builder Mag!!

I`ve been intending to start getting this rag.I don`t subscribe to any because it`s always a bunch on lightweight skim and very little useful info.Or,just an excuse to push an advertiser`s wares.Truck Builder seems more "real world" without all the crap.I hope this thread helps boost their sales.

Re: Truck Builder Mag!!

I also forgot to mention that the "Lowering the Lid" is by far the best looking chop I have ever seen on one of these trucks. The flush fit windshield is a nice touch as well.

Can you give us a link to your other publications? I get Street Rod builder but would like to spend my money with you guys instead of the ADD guys!

And yes this is 67-72 truck related because that is what we all build and bring to this site

Re: Truck Builder Mag!!

Thanks for the info on this! When I was young(er) I would always want to build something to go fast, never mind the daily driver woes that went along with speed. But as I have gotten older I have come to the realization that I needed more comforts and ease of driveability than I needed speed. Don't get me wrong, I love the feel of power when I mash down on the throttle. But over the years, thanks to the many mags out there, I have learned to incorporate the comforts with the power. They all have helped me to better plan out what I wanted out of my truck. This board was a big part of this. So, to all the mags, and especially to this site, 67-72chevytrucks.com, a BIG thank you!

Re: Truck Builder Mag!!

I agree 100% My 70 LowBuck has PS, PB, Tilt, CC, AC/Heat, Heated seats, EFI, AOD, Disk brakes, Bags for towing, Hiden reciever Hitch, CD player and GOOD HEAD LIGHTS. It is a blast to drive and I have zero concerns with my Wife getting in it and heading out for the day because I know it will handle it all. Plus with around 360hp it will be fun getting their as well.

Hey Josh,
Why aren't there more pics in the online version? The article on the 50th only has one pic. Is that so we subscribe?

I would have to say yes or at least I hope that is why! Mags take allot of money to get going and stay going. I feel out of all the ones I get this mag is the most use full for us builders and I think you should pay a few bucks and buy the sub. This way it will be sure to stay around and just get better, plus the more of us on here that do subscribe will help keep out the dreaded Ad's that are needed to help keep it going!

Well I just added 4 more for my Mail Man to carrie around!
