ls1 camaro/firebird electric fans
I have an opportunity to buy a set of electric fans from a LS1 camaro fairly cheap and I'm considering using them on my 68. Does anyone know how well they fit, or has anyone done this? Post pictures or other info if you know.

I put a set on my 86, fit really good...
   Just bought some angle aluminum from metals depot and some nuts and bolts from home depot. I think I have $75 in mine. I went with a vsc controller, but I am changing that now that I have my 6.0 in and let the pcm control them.

it truly depends on what year car you buy from.
i picked up some from a 94-97 (whatever the year range is before 98-02) and they didn't fit as good as the ones you see pictured. i also tried the 94-96 Impala fans which were better, but not by much. i prefer the look/feel of the setup i got on mine (i did a writeup in the FAQ forum)

Here is what I have in LowBuck but I do not remember what yr thay are out of. What I like better about these from the ones above is they allow for pass through air see the cut outs. They are supose to have rubber flaps over them so when sittinf still they are colsed and the fans suck 100% from the radiator but when at speed they open and allow extra air to flow. I made simple brackets that let the fans simply slide down into the bracket and then the SS on top of the radiator hold it in place. I have driven this truck over 7k miles now in everything from back country road to California's bay area traffic and never a heating problem.

not sure about the fit as they may be too long...but I liked the '05up GM truck fans I put on my '01 Sierra C3
