Talking Drag Strip C10 that started it all...

Thought everyone here would like to see a picture of the "C10 that started it all" for me.

Saw it run at our local drag strip (Pittsburgh Raceway Park) and I haven't been the same since...HA!!!

Nice truck, but the chopped top just kills it for me.

Maybe I'm just too old (skool) but I LOVE the chop .... ALL chops as a matter of fact.... especially a radically chopped one like this C10... different strokes as is said....

How's it sang in that song.....Meomoriessssssssssss!!!!!! How sweet they are!!

With the hot rod & motorcycle industries BIGGER than anyone could have ever dreamed you have to think about WHY??? Surely movies like American Grafftti & Easy Rider has had a big part in stirring interest in the car & motorcycle frenzy that is today.

I also believe that "memories" of "wheels gone by" have ALSO been a motivator behind what makes up the "world of wheels" we live in today.

Very cool pix, thanks for posting. I have lots of great memories going out to the drags on Rte 30 at the airport west of York, PA.

I never liked the rocket cars, but they were fast!

There is a white truck in the gallery that has a real nice chop to it....not overkill.

I saw that truck.... very nice ....with a "very MILD" chop.... but as you guys know.... I really love the "radical" chop & channeled stuff...."make it old school for me".

Pics from GASSER REUNION held last weekend at Thompson Raceway near Cleveland, Ohio....

Re: Drag Strip C10 that started it all...

I agree that that chop is too much but since it is a drag truck and chops started not for style back in the day but for less drag and faster speeds I guess it will do
