driveshaft
So I disconnected the driveshaft while thinking of putting lowering blocks on the rear. I changed my mind and now there is about 1-2 inches between the end of the shaft and the u-joint. How do I hook it up???

Did you take anything else apart? Im kind of confused. Nothing should have changed. Slide the slip shaft into the back of your trans further than you need to, then bring it back slightly to bolt on the U-joint caps.
Am I missing something here?

just pull the slip shaft out of the tranny a little bit... That's the only thing that really could've moved...

The drive shaft slip joint should have about 1 1/2 to 2 inches exposed after everything is bolted up (that's what mine has). If you feel that the gap is excessive, something else has shifted on you. I'd try and loosen the spring u bolts again and bolt the drive shaft up and see how it lines up. |
