Re: Why Does this Bed fit so Bad?

Maybe it needs some new bed mounts? Or possibly used 3/4 Ton cab mounts?

EDIT: Looking at the picture again, it looks like the front of the bed is the problem. Notice how close the front of the rear tire is to the fender.

Re: Why Does this Bed fit so Bad?

the beds didnt have mounts IIRC...almost looks like they used the "short" cross seals on all the cross seals......or they have cab/rad mounts that are used for a body lift...

Re: Why Does this Bed fit so Bad?

looks as though the cab has been lifted, with lift spacers, or 3/4 spacers.

Re: Why Does this Bed fit so Bad?

needs work, but the cab and front fenders need the trim removed to look right with a bed with no trim on it. I'd have shimmed the bed upand elongated the mounting holes to get it closer to the cab lines, and took the trim off before paint.

Re: Why Does this Bed fit so Bad?

All rubber mounts are not created equal. The guy that redid this truck used different mounts creating an uneven look. The prior owner of my C/10 redid my mounts and the truck actually looks better then normal, but the bumper sits lower and now I have to use spacers to raise it. The orange truck is nice though!!! Good post!!!!

Re: Why Does this Bed fit so Bad?

I looks like the rear of the cab is sitting too high. Like mentioned, somebody probably used 3/4 ton or 4x4 cab bushings on it...
