Replacing door lock and window switch???
Hey guys. I've got to replace the window switch and the door lock switch on the driver side of my truck. The thing is, I can't figure out how to remove the wires from the old switch. I don't see anything to unscrew or anything like that that would allow me to unhook the wires. Looks like the only way to get them out is to just yank them out and I suspect that ain't right. I need an expert here to help me out please. Thanks.

Re: Replacing door lock and window switch???
On my camaro, the lock switch and window switch just pull apart. Theres three prongs on the back of the switch that goes into the little plug on the end of the wires. i assume the trucks are the same.

What plug on the end of the wires? On the lock switch (which is missing altogether), the wires are just hanging there. There is nothing on the ends of the wires.

Re: Replacing door lock and window switch???
they just pull out... sometimes they have a blue plastic nut that goes over the pole that comes out the back but clearly yours doesnt have that

Re: Replacing door lock and window switch???
Is the door lock switch the same? If it is, I've got a problem cause there ain't nothing there except just the wires hanging there, no back plate or nothing? Am I going to have to get something to plug into the new switch or what? Will a new switch come with everything I will need to get it working again?
