Tubular engine mounts. What the hell???

I bought a set of tubular BBC engine mounts. The engine that was in my car was an I6. Where do i mount these engine mounts. Looks like there are two places i can do this?? Heres a pic or two..

Here is the factory location... its an I6


Here is the tubular mount, mounted in the stock location...


Here is the other spot for it. The motor is a 454 with th400.... Which way do these bad boys go?

Re: Tubular engine mounts. What the hell???

You want to use the 2 forward most holes (closest to the grill), unless you plan on doing some firewall massaging. A BBC will just about fit in the i6 position with short valve covers, but you are gonna have to do some modifications none the less.
