Going to look at 1980 Dually 4x4

Here is the ad:

1980 Chevy 1 ton dually 4x4, Dana 60 front, NP205 case, T400, real clean body, no motor $1500 OBO

Spoke to the fellow and it has hydro boost, and he did some work on the front cross member, thought the truck might have been a diesel?? Didn't think they offered a diesel in 1980? It has a running big block in it right now that he wants.

Say the body is very clean, had a 5th wheel at some point... Odometer is a 61k and he thinks that is original....

What should I be looking for... and it is in dry western Colorado..

No diesel in 1980 "20 or 30 series", except as an option in a C10 only. No BB in the K series that year either. A K30 could be had with the stock 6 banger, a 350, or a 400 smallblock that year.

Coulda been a diesel actually. The General was converting oldsmobile 350's into diesel engines that they used in the trucks from '78 to '81. 1982 saw the first 6.2 liter true diesel engine in the trucks

There were no diesels in 1980 K30 pickups from the GM factory.
