Re: HotRod Power Tour 2008

I caught it years ago when it went through Amarillo. I was sitting at Taco Bell and looked over to the I-40 overpass, and low and behold a train of hotrods!! I jumped into my 70 RS/SS Camaro and joined for a few miles, but it has been East coasting since then and now I am back in AZ so??? When the Camaro gets the new Vortec 383, or the 2wd Blazer gets done enough to drive, maybe they'll swing back out West?? Enjoy, and take lots-O-picts!!

HSF....

Do you know how much I hate not being able to tag along? Guess I could drive the '96, but sure wanted the '69 to be ready. Talked to my painter yesterday, just for kicks. No, it won't be ready, but I'm bringin' the grandson to the fairgrounds on Friday to see what arrives for the parade that leaves the fairgrounds at 4:30. I'll look for the evidence that you drove your '67. What else would you be driving, if not the patinamobile?

I will be in the 67 or on the Harley. You can tag along with me if you want. The Hot Rod folks are covering my Fee's, Hotel and eats.

Re: HotRod Power Tour 2008

Thanks, but I gotta stay here for the oldest grandsons' birthday. I was hopin' to take him on the run, but I reckon it'll just have to wait for another "day". When it's done, I hope to go to Louisville, KY for the Street Rod nationals. Always wanted to do that, then there's the street rod gathering at Branson/Springfield, too.

As it stands, I gotta go get a pile 'o parts at Petit Jean on the 13th. Good luck on the run. I'm really hoping I can get onto the fairgrounds and shoot some pix on Friday.

Re: HotRod Power Tour 2008

We got my engine put back together tonight, but it's still not cooperating. I was too exhausted to do anything else. I'm going to get up early and give it another shot. I have no other choice.

I have a long list of stuff to do that I don't even want to think about.

I can't think of anything I'd rather do than sit in a dentists' chair, except go on the Power Tour. Geeze, Louise.....what a bummer!!
