returning to the board after a year - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I joined the web site almost a year ago and only managed to make about a dozen posts before problems made it all but impossible to get to a computer on a regular basis. I hope this post finds you all doing well and doing what you love(TRUCKS).
The amount of combined knowledge on this site is staggering and I know that if I need an answer this is the place to come. I only hope that working on cars for the past 20 years has given me some knowledge so I might help someone on here.

My project is a 72 Chevy short be fleet. Last year around this time I bought the truck for what I think is a good price, $900.00. The truck was originally a I6 with a TH400 and a 12 bolt 3:73. The previous owner installed a 305 and some kind of disc brake front end from god only knows what. lol At this time my daily driver was a 85 Chevy 4wd with a 454. I pulled the 454 and set it on an engine stand and pulled the 305 from the 72 , put it in the 4wd and sold it. I bought a s10 for transportation. When I sold the 4wd everything went on hold including the 72. Well at least its in the garage. Maybe I can start to work on it again soon.

In the mean time I will be hanging out in here until funds permit me to do more than look at my truck.

I hope I havnt bored all of you with my endless chatter. I have a few pics of my truck if any might like to see.
