swapping cabs from a 72 to 67...
Is there much to this?? I am looking at swapping a 72 Chevy cab for a 67 GMC cab. I know that the wiring harness should be changed over, but is there much difference in these cabs? Will the 70 Chevy doors I have fit on this 67 cab? Is there anything I should be forwarned about before I make an offer on this cab?

The 67 had a hand E brake, but other than that & the wiring it should be a bolt on. Good luck....crazyL

Unless you are real clever you'll be forced to use the rod linkage accelerator instead og the cable one on your 72. If it's available with cab grab it.

No. The firewall is drilled differently for the brackets, plus the cable requires a square hole to mount the plastic clip through. Compare your current setup to the pre-71 cab fire-walls. You'd have to graft in the entire section from your existing cab or somehow duplicate it. It is not a bolt in swap.

I totally spaced that throttle rod issue! I did graft a pc of a 71 firewall to my 69 to convert to cable throttle. At the top, I just drilled a hole, & filed it out for the cable(that saved welding a big pc in the firewall)...crazyL
