Quick Question

I recently searched for info on the best way to install my new intake manifold and I was just wondering if the "Hi-temp Ultra black RTV" would work ok...? I also just wanted to double check to and make sure that the intake bolts needed to be torqued down to 30 ft lbs, right? Thanks for the help.

Re: Quick Question

Intake torque specs 25lbs and RTV works best in the fron and rear valley areas. Not on the heads...lol WES

Re: Quick Question

Use intake gaskets on the heads and RTV on the front and back rails.

Re: Quick Question

I believe the last stuff I used was the ultra grey. Thin application just around the water passages on the heads on both sides of the gasket and a healthy bead on the block front and back. No leaks yet.
