5 lug axles?

What axles fix perfectly for a 69 c10? I have already bought some from summit but they seem to be about 1/4 inch too short on the carrier side. I have alot of play in between the axle and the cross shaft. Has anybody else encountered this? All help is always appreciated. thanks in advance. - steve-

Re: 5 lug axles?

Is that with the C clips in place?

Dutchaman's will make/redo/ sell axles to fit.

They will even redrill your old axles if you ups them to them.

Ok here is the other one, Scroll down to axles and work your way through the page to the 5 lug axle. http://www.drivetrain.com/index.html

On something like this I would rather deal with someone who specializes in that piece and makes the piece rather than a mail order house that sells everything.

Both places appear to have good help desks and I think I would start there first. They may be able to make some suggestions to help you figure it out.

Re: 5 lug axles?

No the only thing I have bought from Summit are a couple of pieces I needed for the truck and I could.'t get around here without making a 75 mile trip to the closest place that had it.

My best friend was the Number 1 counter man at one of the local NAPA stores for years and He usually found me what I needed. Before that I worked in a parts house that also happened to be the local speed shop. I use the Summit catalog more for a reference and then go buy local.
