Will they fit????

5"/5" drop,

Was planning on 20x8.5 w/ 245-40-20 and 20x10 w/295-40-20. But I'm considering 22x8.5 w/ 265-40-22 and 22x10 w/ 305-40-22. I dont think the rear will be a problem, but what about the front? With the right backspace do you think there will be any tire clearance issues?

Maybe just go with a 3"/5" drop??

Any opinions?

Re: Will they fit????

I know that the wheel wells are different between K5's and trucks, but my 285/35's fit great.

I had 325/40/22 on the rear of my project truck, and would have needed to widen the tubs a tad. That was with a 22x10 with 6" backspace.

I'm running a 265/30 on a 22x10 rim right now with a 5/6 drop and it rubs the inner fenders, so I'll be removing the inners.

Re: Will they fit????

Thanks for the info. Looks like 22's it is. I wont be running 30 series tires though, a little to small for these Houston roads. And instead of 10's all around I'll do the staggered 8's and 10's. Discount Tire here I come!!!!

Re: Will they fit????

I have some 22" coys C5s with 265/35s and 285/35s sitting at home waiting for me to get back from vaction. I plan to drop my new 79 blazer about 4/6 if it will work without any major problems. Im pretty sure i will be pulling the inner fenders and building something custom.
