Before and after pics of my firewall cleanup using Castrol Super Clean. It took off some paint too, but that's okay, sure works great with a scotch brite type cleaning pad.

love that stuff. try it in your laundry it will amaze you. just put a cup in with the laundry soap, stuff the nastyest greese coverd stuff in there. comes out as clean as you are going to get it...

dont let the wife see.. lol..

Definitely gonna paint the firewall while the cab is off the frame. Never will have it as accessible as now. As for the rest of the truck, still undecided. Plus no funds right now for paint. I really need to get it back together more than it needs to be painted.

one more caution, be carefull using this stuff on your engine dont let it hit the alternator or a/c clutch. it works so well it dried out the barrings and they fired! i know it was from the super clean..

Yes it is! The best non aresal degreaser I've found.

So, is it not safe for paint, or is did the paint come off for some other reason? Thanks

no i wouldnt put it on paint, unless you have an old ass dirty truck that you want to strip the wax off. does a great job at that

We use it with a buffer to clean our shop floor. Boss man buys it by the 55 gallon barrel. Real good stuff...but wear gloves,a nd DON'T spill it on the FRONT of your pants...talk about a burning sensation...

I'll have to try it out. Does anybody know if messes up aluminum?
I got some other degreaser on my valve covers, and it took some major buffing to fix them.

I believe the bottle does warn about aluminum, I think you have to flush it with water after cleaning to keep it from doing damage.
