Dropmember60-62

We just finished up the Dropmember for the 60-62 torsion bar chassis. Here's a link to the thread in the suspension forum: http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...04#post2762104

Re: Dropmember60-62

That's a beautiful looking piece! The welds look like they're machine done.

Nice work.

Oh they are machine done! The machine answers to the name Nate or just plane Porter works to from what I here

Another very nice product Nate. So does this mean that Dino now has a DropMember for every vehicle that he owns? Oh wait I don't think I have seen a Nova DropMember yet but I am sure it is in the works!
Again Nice work. I finally was able to touch one of these on Tony's (Tony from NorCal) 64 and it is every bit as impressive and then some in person.

Re: Dropmember60-62

Question - What all does this come with? I'm assuming that it's not $1425 for the crossmember only....or is it? I saw the article in Classic Trucks saying that it was for a kit that included strong arms, is this the same for the 60-62 or is that an optional item to purchase.

Thanks for the help. Daniel

Strong arms are not included for that price. Believe me,... If you want it low,... real LOW,... it's worth every penny!

Re: Dropmember60-62

I'm okay with it not being dragging low....my truck is a daily driver. Which also means that I scrape and stretch and hammer every friggen penny I can for my truck.

$1425 is a tall order on a short military budget.

Oh well.....back to the junkyard.

I wish I could tell you what you want to hear... but it is $1425 for the pieces that I manufacture. All the other goodies are extra. The $1425 gets you the following: main crossmember, upper control arm/bag mounts, shock mounts, motor mounts, rack notches, billet tie-rod adapter sleeves and chromoly heims, all hardware and instructions. The 63-87 Dropmembers come with inner frame support plates and transmission crossmember. It's worth saving up for if you are wanting to slam the truck without all the headaches. If you don't want to be super-low, then you can get away with factory suspension mods.
