Interior paint

Well I'm now ready to paint the inside of my cab and have picked a color but
cant figure out what type of paint to use. Some tell me acrylic enamel, some say bc cc, and so on... What im trying to achieve is just a somewhat smooth coat with minimal applications and budget freindly (running out of funds). Just wondering what paint/primer systems youve tried in the past and your experiences with them.

Here's my interior I just sprayed last week. I used a high build primer and bc/cc. Two coats color and two coats clear. It's not the cheapest but it's very user friendly.

Nice pix, I've been thinking about this for some time now, just cant decide, since the interior will be black and the exterior will be different, if it even matters to worry about quality as much?

well, the whole time you drive, you are looking at the dash with the paint on it, your arm is on the door with the paint, and it RARELY gets washed or waxed... plus, when you do wash it, you are way more likely to use harsh chemicals instead of soap and water... so IMO, quality DOES matter.
ON a personal preference, if you are spending the time and money on nice paint, I would recomend doing the inside sheetmetal the same color as the body. When the colors don't match, it looks like a cheap maco or earl scheib paint job and you followed it up with spray bomb.
Just my personal opinion and nothing more... but maybe soething to think about before you shoot the stuff.

not to hijack but what size nozzle/tip are you guys using with a HVLP gravity feed gun? ive been told 1.3 is best but unsure myself

I'm painting my truck a different color (red), and due to time/ money constraints, it's just the exterior/doors (I know some will say to wait but I got to get it back on the road after some bodywork).

Actually I'm looking at a different color for the interior. I think it's too much when everything is the same color. It's probably more to do with all metal interior so I hope to upholster more of it (if funds ever allow).

I like the look of more cloth cover doors (like Rod Doors) and full headliner, including the pillars... just the dash remaining painted. But that's an expensive option.

I'm painting the top of the dash, behind the dash pad satin black, along with the inside of the cab. I have to leave the dash for later. We'll see how bad it looks.
